Project Overview
If you're like me, you probably juggle multiple Salesforce production instances, each with their associated sandbox environments. Each login requires remembering different credentials, navigating through various URLs, and dealing with the constant interruption of MFA challenges. It's time-consuming, frustrating, and honestly, it breaks your work flow. That's why I built Easy Salesforce Logins - a Chrome extension designed specifically for Salesforce professionals who need secure, efficient login management.

Challenges
- The biggest challenge was properly arranging all elements and functionality on screen with such small real estate. With that said, that limitation made for an improved extension that is intuative and user friendly
Learnings & Takeaways
- The biggest takeaway from this project was better understanding how time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) work. Since I would be generating the one-time passwords (for logins where MFA is enabled), I needed to understand exactly how these tokens are generated.
- I also understood that such browser based token generators are dependant on the computer they are installed on's system time. Meaning that time moves forward/backwards 1 hour during daylights savings, the PC's time needs to actually be resynced otherwise the tokens generated will be incorrect.
